Laynee Bug!

Allow me to preface this post. I love both of my daughters equally-obviously, but I have received requests for updated pictures of the baby! Babies change so much even in a week, and I haven't posted in a month! So, if it seems there are a lot of pictures of Elayna, that's why, no favoritism here!

Madison's 7th Birthday

Madison turned 7!!!
We had a fun little get together with some princesses! They made a spider craft (Halloween and all!!)that was so fun and they had a "tooth-picnic" (thank you Susan for the idea). It was so much fun and the girls loved it. I made a Castle cake and Maddi was in heaven.

Strike a pose

We went out for her birthday. She has a free meal from an award she got at school, and a free dessert for her birthday, great night!

Happy birthday my angel!!! Sorry, no baby pictures, our old computer crashed and has all of her baby pics on it. We'll be able to retrieve them, but it's lots of moola! One day!

She SPITS!

Yep she is spitting now. It's the cutest thing!! She purses her lips together and blows. There is much drool involved and she will stick her tongue out while spitting too. She spits when she's happy and also when she's mad!! It's somehow cuter then!

Also she rolled over!! She was 3 months old! She's 4 months now. I was reading while she had some tummy time and she rolled over. She did it twice in a row and I can't get her to do it again! She loves to "talk," shake toys and put EVERYTHING into her mouth. I think she may already be teething. She bites everything too. She bites HAAAARD. It's like she's attacking something! This is such a fun stage. All stages have their fun, but I especially like when they're discovering their hands. I will find her staring at them and watching them move. I love it.

For the Labor Day weekend we went to Fresno, CA to meet Carson's brother Brian, wife Michelle and new baby Carter. ("Tarter Sauce") It's the first time we met Carter. It was so fun. He's so cute and smiley. We shared a hotel room and had some interesting accomodations for the kids. Carter slept in a bouncer, and we brought a sleeping bag for Maddi, but uncle Brian had a better idea.

He had a raft in his car, so he blew it up and that was Maddi's bed. She loved it!
Carson had an idea for Laynee. He got the drawer out and we put a comforter into it and her on top!

Such creative boys. We visited Kendra, Carson and Brian's cousin. She just had a baby a too so we each had one. His name is Jasper and he is so cute and tiny. He was a preemie so he weighed about 5lbs. I've never seen/held a baby so small. So sweet. I am sad though, I brought my camera and video camera and hardly took any pictures! I took a couple pictures of the 2 babies, and that's it.

It's a terrible shot too. I didn't really get their faces. Oh well.

The brothers played tennis for most of the day Monday and the girls (and Carter) played at a park. The babies found some shade and Madison found a playground. This one had a rock climbing wall.

She did the first time with me and the second all by herself! She did so well. She also got her mother to chase her all over that playground as we played tag. She's so fun! Thank you Brian, Michelle, Tarter sauce, Kendra and Ken for the fun visit. Let's do it again!

Elayna's blessing July 4th 2009

We went to Seattle where I am from and where my family still is, to bless her.(Carson's wonderful suggestion) It was so neat and touching to have my husband, father and brothers bless her. I am so blessed. Here are some of the pictures. Left to right, Cory, Dad(Ryan), Carson,Darren and Dan.

Among many things she was blessed to feel the love of all those around her on both sides of the veil. Many of you know that Carson's father passed away 4 years ago. It was an emotional and special day. We're so glad you are in our family Laynee. = )

Let's catch up!

Wow it has been a month since my last post! I have been in Seattle having a fabulous and long family reunion with my brothers, sisters in law and ADORABLE nieces and nephews. Also they got to meet Laynee. It was so fun and Carson was the only reason we came home! We went up for the 4th of July weekend to bless Elayna in my home ward because we just don't have family in California. So the girls and I went about a week and a half earlier and then Carson came for 4 days and we stayed another week after that. (Carson's thoughtful idea) He's so great to let us go, he knew I may not get to go back to Seattle for another year, so he said we could go for a long one since he was coming up in the middle.
We had SO MUCH FUN!!! I love my family. We hung out, played in Seattle,

went to a Mariner's game, played on the boat,

went to Ivars in Seattle and fed the seagulls, Pike place market in Seattle, Chuckie cheese, chick flicks and shopped(the girls) and just enjoyed time together.

I got to see 2 of my brothers be new dads. I also got to see my great grandpa who is 101 years old. He is slowly going downhill so I don't know if I will see him again in this life. But for sure in the next. He is a wonderful man. We were able to get a five generation picture because my grandma (my dad's mom) happened to be visiting from Arizona. Coincidence?
It was awesome!
Maddi got a haircut. She's so cute. Thanks Marci. She looks so old!

Maddi and Grandpa bonded and had their chores and fun together. Two mornings they ate breakfast in the hot tub together and when they got too hot, they'd jump on the trampoline!!

COUSINS!!!!
So oldest to youngest are Madison, Dan's Braden and Brock, Cory's Brooklyn, Darren's Cade and my Elayna.

Brock LOVED Elayna. Whenever we were in the car he would reach over and hold her hand. (more like 2 fingers-that's all he could reach!) It was adorable.

The 4th of July

We went to our ward's breakfast at Grasslawn park. It was yummy. Carson was here by now. After breakfast the boys played their annual football game. They played for hours. The girls and kids watched. Here are some of the highlights.

Overall fabulous 3 weeks! Thanks mom and dad for making it all possible. We love you!
