Update

Well, I thought I would update everyone that I am off of bedrest. It really was only the one week and then my doctor said that she looks so good that I can go about my regular activities. He said that I still have to take it easy, but I can cook and clean again. Yeah!! Did I just say that? So no worries here. We're good and just chomping at the bit for her to come!

This is a walk we all went on along the coast. It was so nice and sunny. It is the only form of exercise I am allowed (a very leisure walk). It was nice to get some fresh air too. Oh everyone, come and visit!

Madison started tennis lessons. At the apartments where we live they have free tennis lessons. One hour for adults, then one for children. I will probably go after we have the babe. If she's asleep, if she's fed and happy, and if there's a place in the shade where she and Madison can sit and if she doesn't wake up..... Ha ha! : )

Maddi looked so cute at her lesson and Carson got her her own pink tennis racquet. Many of you may not know this, but Carson has developed an obsession for tennis over the past couple of years. So he wants Maddi to to pro since he's too old! (He's not one of "those"pushy dad's, don't get me wrong, but he likes that she goes to learn!) Well, we'll probably post pictures and info of the baby here first so keep checkin! We love and miss you all!

Good news for our litle one!

Woo Hoo is all that I can say!! Well last week I went to a doctor's appt and he ever so gently reprimanded me because her tummy was still 2 weeks too small and he's asked me to relax and stay down. I thought I was, but apparently not enough. He explained how critical this point is for her to gain weight and if I am moving around a lot, all of the blood, energy etc. is going to other limbs and parts, not to her. So, he decided to put me one notch short of bed rest. I wasn't allowed to cook, clean, lift etc. I had to be laying or sitting at all times. So I obeyed and Carson has been so great to do dishes and dinner etc. Madison has turned into my little gopher. She doesn't complain either. Wow, what a blessing they have been. It sounds like paradise, right? No cooking or cleaning. But for those who know me well, it's been torture!! I cannot stand to watch my husband get home from work and finish dinner and then clean up and do the dishes!! It kills me, but he just smiles. Ah, he's so wonderful.

Anyway, so the ultrasound today said, SHE'S PERFECT!! Her tummy is measuring right on target and there is no cord around her neck, she's over 6 and 1/2 pounds, her head is perfect and she even has lots of hair to top it off!! (I was told the heartburn connection to your baby having hair is an old wives tale, but I believe it. I have had terrible heartburn for the most of this pregnancy.) She also said that Elayna has tiny nose. We'll see. He is going to let me go to full term, we will not need to induce her. He will if I don't have her by the due date, but not like we thought we would have to. I firmly believe that it was partly bed rest and hugely the part of prayers. Thank you to all of you who have prayed for our little one and exercised your faith in our behalf. We are so happy and excited.

Around 2 and 1/2 weeks left!! Hee hee! Well, I have to continue the bed rest until I have her, but my ward is great and my parents are coming on her due date and again, Carson and Madison are the most wonderful people ever!! You can do anything for 2 weeks right? = )

P.S. Here are some final preggo pictures that lots of you have asked for!!

Spring break and baby news!

Wow, has it really been almost a month? Sorry. Madison has been home from school for the last 2 weeks because of spring break. It has been so much fun. We had a picnic on the beach one day, went to Legoland,
met up with old friends at Coronado island, and just played!

I sure love my girl and I think she'll be the best big sister. She's so much fun at this age. I mean, at every age, but it's been fun watching her grow and change just from going to school.
She is old enough to get herself dressed for school (with my matching help!), set the table, clear the table and unload the dishwasher. (I put away the high things) She hugs and kisses and talks to my tummy several times a day. The nurse told her that our baby can hear us, so Madison is determined to make her know her voice. We have officially decided on a name. Sorry for the people who voted "no", but we decided on "Elayna Jane Lee". We'll call her Laynee for a nickname. Maddi calls her "baby Laynee."

So those who voted that we'd have her early are going to win! Throughout this pregnancy I have had several ultrasounds. 2 ultrasounds ago the doctor let us know that her tummy is measuring 2 weeks behind, her head was 1 week behind, and that the placenta is calcified around the edge. He said that he wouldn't worry until she was measuring 3 weeks behind. So he told me not to do any exercise and lay and sit down while I am at home. So I did. We had another one 2 weeks ago and he said she's still about the same time behind and the placenta is the same, but also the cord is wrapped around her head once. He said that all of these things alone wouldn't be a big deal, but because they are all happening at once, he thinks that for some reason she is stressed. He said that the cord could be unwrapped in a couple of hours. Once is not a big deal, many more times is when it gets to be a big deal. So we're going to have another ultrasound on Monday the 20th and at that point he said we'll see how she's progressing and probably choose a date to induce her. I'll be 37 1/2 weeks and technically 38 weeks is full term, so it won't be super early, but a little. I cannot wait and we got her bed ready tonight and I chose an outfit for the hospital etc. We're getting ready and eager.

Maddi wanted to help me make daddy's lunch!
So my sister in law said that I have to post some final belly shots before I deliver. I will on the next post.
