Utah roadtrip!

In May, Carson as wonderful as he is, suggested that I take Maddi and go to Utah to visit my family. We hadn't seen them in over a year after having lived there for 7! I would stay a week or so and Carson would fly up to drive home with us. So we went and had an absolute blast!! This is the two of us at a rest stop.

In the car she got a little bored and colored her nails with a blue marker. I laughed so hard!! She's so funny. The trip was 10 hours long! But she really is the perfect age to travel. We talk, play games, I tell her stories, listen to music or watch movies on the portable DVD player. She's wonderful.
We got there just in time for the family fast Sunday dinner. It was perfect I got to see and surprise all of my mom's side!

We stayed at my brother and sister-in-law 's most of the time. Maddi and her cousin Braden were inseparable!

We even let them sleep in a tent (inside) some nights. They are so cute together. Also their new baby Brock. I love that sweetie!!

We had so much fun with Dan and Marci and the boys.

We went down South to Pleasant Grove to stay with my grandparents for a few days. It was also so much fun. We love it at Grandmas Church's!
Maddi has a cousin on my mom's side. Well, his dad is my mom's youngest brother and I am the oldest grandchild so technically Trevor is MY cousin , but he and Maddi are the exact same age. They play so well together! They take turns playing babies as well as dinosaurs! It's so sad to me that in about 10 years these boy cousins that she loves so much will have cooties! :(

While I was down south at grandma's, I took one night and went to visit my good friends from my old Springville and Provo wards. Nicole Pugmire and Melanie Crane. They are actually sisters-in-law. Small world! We had a "Girls night out". It was so fun! The kids played and watched a kids movie while we gave each other pedicures and watched a chick flick! Oh what fun. Thanks girls!!

After e few days we went back up to Salt Lake City to pick up Carson from the airport. He got there the night before mother's day. Perfect timing. We went back to Dan and Marci's. He gave me 2 "Willow tree" figurines for mother's day. There was one with a mother holding a baby and one with a mom and a little girl dancing. Maddi said that the one with the mom holding the baby was so that I can have more babies. She's so sweet and observant. This picture is my "post cry" face while eating my breakfast that they made me and my baby figurine.

Then for mother's day the 3 of us went to Temple Square. What a perfect day.

Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of this, but we had a huge get together at my Uncle Dave and aunt Claudia's house. It has become a tradition that if I am ever in town I plan a party and they are the hosts. They have the perfect house for a get together and they love to host them. Atleast that's what they say. Maybe they're just being nice! Well either way thanks so much! We love you guys.

That was such a fun fun trip and it was so good to see all of you. Thanks again to everyone. Now it's our turn host you for Sea World, Disneyland or just come play at the Ocean!

It looks like you had a great time. So excited about your first blood test. Keep me informed. Can you believe it has been over 10 years since we were at Ricks?! Where does the time go.
